Copper River & Prince William Sound Salmon at the Boston Seafood Show

Get ready for the 2013 season at Booth #2725

For Immediate Release:

February 27, 2013

Cordova, Alaska—Retailers and restaurants that carry Copper River Salmon will want to visit Booth #2725 at the International Boston Seafood Show next week. Taking place in Boston from March 10-12, 2013, the Copper River/Prince William Sound Marketing Association is the go to resource for everything Copper River Salmon.

Booth #2725 will feature resources for retailers, chefs, restaurateurs, and customers. Digital media resources, hard copy materials, the 2013 updated Suppliers Directory, and samples of the Copper River Slammin’ Salmon spice rub will be available.  Aside from gathering useful materials, visitors will have an opportunity to connect directly with the source and speak with folks who live and work in Cordova. Stop by the booth to talk with a Copper River fisherman, direct marketer, chef and Association staff to learn about promotional opportunities and how you can capitalize on consumer interest for Copper River salmon this season.

Association Executive Director, Beth Poole, says “The show is a great way to connect directly with buyers and chefs. We always enjoy creating personal relationships that continue throughout the season and for years to come. Being at the Boston Seafood Show gets us ready for the season ahead and helps us meet the needs of our customers by responding to what retailers and restaurants are looking for each year.”

The Association is also excited to be sharing the Prince William Sound salmon fishery in a bigger way this year. The same quality minded fishermen who harvest premium Copper River salmon are also over in the Sound catching first class sockeye, keta and pink salmon. Retailers can offer all five wild Alaska salmon species from the Copper River and Prince William Sound region, which is an excellent opportunity to offer customers great salmon variety and value. Poole added, “Last year was one of the first times we saw Prince William Sound called out at retail and we look forward to making more connections for the fishery this year.”

Poole explains, “The local knowledge and regional perspectives that will be at Booth #2725 are a great resource. We’re looking forward to talking to and assisting all of the seafood lovers who enthusiastically support Copper River and Prince William Sound salmon each year.”
